Associate Dean's

Dr. Linda Buckley, PhD, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs (COP)

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Buckley served as Chief Planning Officer at University of the Pacific for four years.  From 2006 – 2014 she was Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at San Francisco State University and Interim Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Professor at Sacramento State University for 11 years.  She is currently an Emerita Professor at Sacramento State University.  Dr. Buckley also served as Associate Director of the International Training and Education Center at UC, Davis.  She earned her BA in English from University of Georgia; MA in Linguistics from UC, Davis; and MA and Ph.D in Anthropology from UC, Davis.

In addition to her work in academic affairs on strategic planning, accreditation, assessment, curriculum planning, and institutional research, she has worked extensively on teacher training grants with the Fulbright Association, Institute of International Education, Amideast, and USAID in Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.  Dr. Buckley has been a Commissioner for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 2013.


Dr. Francisco Leite, PhD, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs (CHS)

Dr. Leite has worked in the field of education for over 32 years, holding positions in administrative leadership for higher education and vocational education. He has been working continuously in the field of Health Science Education (program and curriculum development and evaluation) in the last 10 years.

Dr. Leite has distinguished himself as a professional in educational administration with a strong background and extensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative educational research, particularly in the field of program evaluation using mixed methods design. He has dedicated himself to program and curriculum development and has extensive experience in accreditation procedures related to the academic standards for National and Regional accrediting agencies in the United States.
